Sneaker LAB Supports PSFA: Enhancing School Kitchens for a Hunger-Free Future

At Sneaker LAB, we're committed to making a positive impact in our community and beyond. That's why we're proud to partner with the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA), a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger among young learners in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Recently, our team had the opportunity to visit Portia Primary School and Ysterplaat Primary School, where we witnessed firsthand the incredible work being done by PSFA.
Through our partnership with PSFA, we give 167 children at Ysterplaat Primary School, 60 children at Portia Primary and 200 children at Simons Town School daily breakfasts and lunches.
The Kitchen Wish-List Initiative:
After engaging with the some of the schools we support through PSFA, it became evident that the kitchen staff needed additional equipment to better facilitate their important work. To address this need, PSFA compiled kitchen "wish-lists" from the schools, outlining items essential for efficient meal preparation.
These lists included essentials like bowls, plates, spoons, knives, containers, pots, peelers, can openers, and gas. Recognising the importance of these items in ensuring that children receive nutritious meals, we were eager to step in and fulfil these requests.

Our Contribution:
As part of our ongoing commitment to social responsibility, Sneaker LAB was honoured to provide Portia Primary School and Ysterplaat Primary School with all the items on their kitchen wish-lists. By supplying these essential tools, we aim to empower the dedicated kitchen staff to continue their invaluable work of nourishing young minds and bodies.
