Uplifting Communities: Our Partnership with PSFA

Our commitment extends beyond crafting sustainable fashion care products. We believe in the power of community upliftment and the importance of addressing not only environmental concerns but also social issues. That's why we are proud partners of the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA), a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger among young learners in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
PSFA identifies schools where under-privileged children are in desperate need of food. They then equip these schools with kitchens, train personnel, and supply gas and food regularly.
Through their efforts, two nutritional meals are being served to these children each day, helping them concentrate in the classroom.
For the past five years, Sneaker LAB has been honoured to support PSFA. One of the highlights of our partnership is our teams recent visit to Ysterplaat Primary School, one of our donor schools, where we had the opportunity to witness first-hand the impact of PSFA's initiatives and our on-going sponsorship. Our team joined forces with the school staff to ensure that children were nourished during break time, contributing to their overall well-being and educational experience.
We support 167 children at Ysterplaat Primary School who do not have access to food and 45 children at Portia Primary
Established in 1958 by the Rotary Club of Paarden Eiland (now the Rotary Club of Table Bay), PSFA emerged from the discontinuation of the national school feeding program by the government at the time. Recognizing the critical need for school feeding, PSFA was born out of a commitment to ensuring that no child goes to school hungry.

Over the years, PSFA has made significant strides in its mission, providing over two billion nutritious meals to hungry school children across the Western Province. Their focus extends beyond mere sustenance; they aim to reduce short-term hunger, enhance children's ability to learn through school feeding, and ultimately increase school attendance.
