On National Women’s Day, Sneaker LAB proudly partnered with Bridges For Music to celebrate and elevate young female talent through an inspiring and impactful event.
Our collaboration focused on harnessing the power of music to transform lives, especially when combined with education, mindfulness, and entrepreneurial skills. Together, we hosted a Women’s Music Production Bootcamp that aimed to nurture and empower aspiring female vocalists and music producers.

Bridges For Music is dedicated to empowering youth from under-resourced communities by using music as a transformative tool.
Their mission integrates music with mindfulness, entrepreneurial skills, and work readiness, offering educational resources, safe spaces, emotional support, and professional networks. This holistic approach helps young creatives develop both their artistic talents and essential life skills.
The Women’s Music Production Bootcamp, held at the Bridges Academy in Langa, was designed to be a fun and relaxed environment where participants could explore the basics of music production.
The Bootcamp was open to absolute beginners—no prior experience or instrument-playing skills were required. This inclusive approach ensured that everyone, regardless of their background or experience level, could participate and benefit from the workshop.

The aim with this special event was to introduce production concepts, tools, and innovative ways of hearing and creating music.
Our partnership with Bridges For Music highlights our commitment to supporting creative talent and fostering inclusivity within the arts. By combining our efforts, we were able to create an event that not only educated but also inspired and empowered young women.

Msaki, a celebrated South African composer and singer, shared her personal journey and industry insights, inspiring participants with her experience and passion.
Kay Faith, an incredibly renowned producer, provided practical guidance on music production techniques and tools.
Claire Anderson, a sound engineer from Milestone Studios offered valuable advice and support to help participants hone their skills.
Roxanne Botman, a career confidence coach who spoke about limiting beliefs that we hold of ourselves, where they come from and facilitated the process of letting those beliefs go.
